Obviously, Valve was happy to take me to a controlled environment where the game conditions were ideal. It worked for the most part, mainly because I was so involved in the game that when I got out of my trance I often had to take some time to catch up. I myself was given a small room where I could close the door, turn off the lights, click on the little red slippers, and pretend to be sitting at home. To play the game, I and several of my colleagues from across the industry went to Seattle to visit Valve to have some private time with the title. Valve did not want to send copies of its game (for quite obvious reasons) until it was made public. It not only involves the mind with mysterious events, whims,īefore you get into the review, you should know how this game was viewed.
What Valve created is just a masterpiece – a work of art in this genre. It does many things correctly and in a variety of ways to write a dissertation on Half-Life 2 compared to other single-player shooters.
Half-Life 2 is, simply put, the best single-player shooter released for the PC.
